AP Human Geography Sep 26-30, 2016

We have Map Quiz 2 this Thursday. All information and review materials are located on Schoology.

This week we will continue to discuss population and migration with a focus on governmental policy.

Students should begin the research for the infographic project which is due on Oct. 4th on Schoology. Students will only get 2 days in class to work on the project. Students will need to do some work outside of class.

US History Sept 26-30

We will continue learning about the revolutionary period, specifically the War of Independence and the lasting effects of the war on the United States, Great Britain, and other parts of the world. You will evaluate the advantages and disadvantages of the Americans and the British, as well as the strengths and weaknesses of the Articles of Confederation. Your chapter 2 identifications should be completed by Wednesday, as well as the chapter review. You should have already completed the terms of people, places, and things and you need to complete the following sections on the review: 1) Word Relationships 2) True/False 3) Reviewing Main Ideas 4) Thinking Critically (only choose one to answer in depth. The chapter review will be graded on Wednesday for correctness, not completion. We will begin Chapter 3 on Wednesday.

HISTORIA DE LAS CULTURAS Y SEMINARIO DEL HIMNO NACIONAL DE HONDURAS (26-30 de septiembre de 2016)

Los alumnos de Duodécimo grado presentarán esta semana Las culturas antiguas, del Este y América Latina. Prepararán una presentación por sub grupos en donde escogerán una civilización y se la explicarán a niños de primaria el día lunes 3 de octubre.
La presentación incluirá: vestuario, trifolio, maqueta, gastronomía y presentación oral.

Art Sept 19-23

STILL LIFE

Students will finish their still life projects this week.

Still life includes all kinds of man-made or natural objects, cut flowers, fruit, vegetables, fish, game, wine and so on. Using still objects as a subject for art is something that spans the centuries, and there has been surprisingly little change in the type of objects used. But the way they have been depicted has changed, reflecting developments in style and technique.

Our approach to create a Still life with a modern everyday objects intends to create a fresh young composition.
