US History Feb 27- March 3

We will continue with the Progressive Era of the early 1900’s. On Monday, we will have a short discussion on the role of women throughout US history and you will be reminded of your assignment  for your competition projects against the fifth graders.

We will be discussing the idea of muckrakers and the famous American novel, The Jungle, by Upton Sinclair. You will understand why so much reform was happening in the US during this time period, particularly after WWI. Prohibition and the 18th amendment became one of the biggest failures in US history.
